Hydrum setup guides

Start with the connection guide. Once your system is connected, use the iPad guide for a shared wall display.

Connect a Harreither Universum Gen7

Find the serial number, app login and auth code without confusing them with your Hydrum account. The guide explains where to look, how to submit the form and what a rejected connection means.

  • Confirm Gen7 before creating a connection.
  • Have the installer-provided details ready; keep them out of screenshots and messages.

Set up an iPad wall display

Create a view-only or controllable display link, open its QR code in Safari and add it to the Home Screen. The guide also covers Auto-Lock, Guided Access and replacing a link that has been shared accidentally.

  • Use a separate display link for a communal tablet.
  • Choose view-only access unless people using the tablet should change the heating.

Choose a personal or shared wall

While signed in, Edit wall lets you add temperature, humidity, clock, month-calendar and optional city-weather widgets. Move or resize them, preview the result and choose Save wall. View-only household members can also personalise their own wall.

The clock and calendar follow the viewing device's time. The calendar shows dates, not appointments or a connected calendar account. Weather is a forecast for a selected city, not a sensor at your home.

Custom widgets and room favourites belong to your account and system. Shared displays retain their own standard layout. Turning off Use custom wall restores the standard view without deleting your saved widgets.

Review changes before sending them

A schedule template has a preview before you apply it. Read the result for each room: a partial or uncertain write is not an automatic rollback, and repeating the whole change may be wrong.

Timed away also needs confirmation. Automatic return depends on a running background service, a reachable controller and continuing permission. Check any warning and keep a manual way to change the mode.
